31 August 2026
- New
Completely redesigned Racing Kart dashboard: a large latest-session summary opens the analysis directly with a double-click.
- New
Canonical GPS traces everywhere: the large map, records and session list now share the same silhouette for a given circuit.
- Fix
Automatic correction of incorrect MyChron layouts: LapTics compares several GPS laps and only applies matches considered highly reliable.
- Improvement
Sessions, track library, settings and sidebar now share the same Racing Kart design language, with SectorKart orange accents.
- New
Offline pilots: freely enter a new name while editing or importing a session, then reuse that pilot locally.
- Improvement
Smoothness restored: no more freezes when switching sections, much faster startup and session opening about five times faster.
- New
The dashboard brings together lap-time progression, personal records, per-track podiums and recent sessions in clearer cards.
- New
An “All pilots” tab and one tab per pilot isolate sessions, records and progression without mixing results.
- New
A new interactive pie chart breaks down sessions by track for the active pilot or for all pilots.
- Improvement
Web imports, sessions without a best lap and single-lap sessions are excluded from dashboard metrics and rankings.
- Improvement
Tracks are grouped by their stable local identifier: different names such as “Crolles” and “CHRONOKART - Crolles Circuit” share the same record and trace.
- Improvement
Each session displays a thumbnail of its track's canonical GPS trace, using the same asphalt style as the dashboard.
- Improvement
The Sessions view preserves its filters, scroll position and expanded years or months when you open and close an analysis.
- New
A compact video column marks sessions linked to a video and refreshes automatically when returning from analysis.
- Improvement
The sidebar highlights the real LapTics logo, import, sync, quick theme and language settings, with SectorKart sign-in at the bottom.
- Improvement
The track library gains a Racing summary, search, country filter, flags, GPS thumbnails and a consistent detail panel.
- Improvement
Settings now group Appearance and Units in a compact panel and use the same orange Racing palette as the rest of the app.
- Improvement
Pilot profiles now use the full Racing Kart design: portrait and kart, stats, records, progression and activity are consistent in light and dark themes.
- Fix
Technical identifiers such as “Pilot #9h42” no longer replace a real name: LapTics prefers the SectorKart profile, then the local name and finally the telemetry name.
- New
The pilot assigned to a session can be changed directly from the Pilot column to quickly correct a wrong selection.
- New
“Edit session” now includes a complete Kart & conditions sheet: chassis, engine, weather, tyres, pressures, transmission, geometry and advanced setup.
- New
For a published session, the Kart & conditions sheet syncs both ways with SectorKart; an offline change stays local until the next upload.
- Fix
The “Edit session” form no longer closes accidentally when clicking the backdrop: only Cancel or Save closes it.
- Fix
An AiM device scan can now be cancelled or closed immediately, even while the session list is being read.
- New
Manual XRK import merges SectorKart and local pilots and lets you assign an offline pilot or enter a new name.
- New
A “SectorKart Team” page brings together collaborative features for compatible Team subscriptions.
- Improvement
SectorKart data loads after the first paint and is cached so the dashboard stays responsive as soon as it opens.
- Fix
Navigation micro-freezes have been removed: the sidebar and tabs remain usable while heavy views are being prepared.
- Improvement
Track traces now appear almost instantly, even at startup with a database containing many sessions.
- Improvement
Opening a session is about five times faster and no longer freezes the window while data is prepared.
- Fix
Adding comparison laps stays smooth regardless of their number: hidden tabs no longer recalculate their charts unnecessarily.
- Improvement
Returning to the Analysis tab is almost immediate: the view preserves its state and track map instead of being rebuilt from scratch.
30 August 2026
- New
A single entry point to import your telemetry: “Import Telemetry” offers direct download from a MyChron / AiM device over Wi-Fi, or importing a file from disk.
- Improvement
Honest certification: only sessions downloaded from a device over Wi-Fi earn the “device verified” certification. A manually imported file can still be published and ranked, but without that badge — the export window states it clearly.
- Fix
The best lap is finally the same everywhere: session list, banner, lap bar, PDF report and SectorKart rankings use a single calculation (fastest lap excluding out/in laps). A valid in-lap is no longer ignored.
- Fix
Reliable temperatures: the water probe is no longer confused with oil or exhaust, °C/°F units are converted correctly, silent-probe readings are discarded and the published maximum ignores pit stops. The thermal view's per-sector statistics are back.
- Fix
Pedals, G-forces and power: the accelerometer is no longer mistaken for the throttle pedal, braking time measures actual braking phases, and G-forces / power estimates are correct whatever acceleration format the logger uses.
- Fix
Gearbox and corners: more stable gear detection with shift points on the map, the “best braking” marker now means the latest braking, apex speed is the true minimum and each lap is realigned on its own trajectory.
- Fix
Histograms, PDF report and video: histograms follow the displayed lap portion, the PDF report traces the best lap with its sectors and theoretical lap, and in video the lap timer no longer resets between laps while the delta to the best lap keeps running even on an out lap.
29 August 2026
- New
Correct an already-published export: right-click a session already on SectorKart → “Correct export”. The form reopens pre-filled with the published data (circuit, layout, category, weather, chassis, kart setup…) and the session is updated without creating a duplicate.
- New
Delete an export: right-click → “Delete SectorKart export” (with confirmation). The session is removed from sectorkart.com and the rankings; your local session is kept and can be re-exported.
- New
Sync from server: a new sidebar button downloads to this PC the sessions you had exported from another computer. They carry a “Web” badge in the list.
- New
Multi-track bulk export: one circuit/layout choice per track, with color-coded cards. LapTics remembers your mappings (e.g. “Actua Long” → the right SectorKart circuit) and pre-selects everything automatically next time.
- Improvement
The session list now shows, under the local track name, the exported SectorKart circuit and layout.
- Improvement
Stronger lap certification: proof of the source file, server-side plausibility checks (laps, speeds, GPS) and targeted re-verification of circuit records. The certification status is shown during export.
- New
Dashboard: your personal records per track, at a glance.
- Breaking
Manual update required: the automatic update key has been rotated. Whatever your current version, download and install 1.1.6 from sectorkart.com — later versions will auto-update as usual.
8 July 2026
- New
SectorKart export (Pro/Team): the continuous speed/RPM trace of the best lap is now sent with the session, powering the detailed charts on your session page.
- Improvement
Verified laps: exports from a device file (AiM/XRK…) now carry a server-checked authenticity signature, making the “verified lap” badge more reliable.
- Fix
Fixed a lap numbering bug: a single duplicate lap no longer renumbers the whole session; only laps that truly conflict are reassigned.
- Improvement
Backups: the daily automatic backup is now strictly aligned on midnight, with size limits to guard against corrupted or abnormally large files.
- Improvement
Security: circuit website links now open in your default browser, suspended accounts are logged out immediately, and less personal data is kept in technical logs.
17 May 2026
- New
Bulk XRK/XRZ import: a new window lets you add several files at once and fill in useful details during import, including pilot, category, session type, weather, temperatures, kart number, chassis and tyres.
- Improvement
More convenient prefill: when preferences already exist for a pilot, LapTics reuses them automatically. Chassis brands and models now also use SectorKart reference lists.
- New
Bulk export to SectorKart: you can publish several sessions in one operation, including kart setup and weather, while checking sessions already sent to avoid duplicates.
- Fix
More reliable session dates: dates sent to SectorKart are now formatted more safely, preventing export errors and wrong dates when publishing.
- Improvement
Verified laps: exports from AiM/XRK files are now better recognized by SectorKart as device-based laps and shown with the correct trust level.
- Fix
Sync stability: fixes for errors that could happen during bulk export, better handling of sessions deleted on SectorKart, and fewer duplicate-related blocks.
17 May 2026
- Fix
Critical fix: month/day inversion when importing AiM files (XRK and CSV exported by MXS, EVO4, RS3… devices). These files encode dates in MM/DD/YYYY format; a bug was misreading ambiguous dates (month ≤ 12 and day ≤ 12) as DD/MM, swapping month and day. Example: a session from October 1st 2025 was recorded as January 10th 2025. The parser now defaults to MM/DD format, matching AiM firmware.
- New
Automatic migration on startup: on the first launch after the update, LapTics automatically corrects the dates of all previously imported sessions. An “Updating…” screen is shown during the process, then the session list reloads automatically. This migration only runs once.
14 May 2026
- Improvement
Major update (May 2026) for the Windows LapTics app. The Sessions screen is clearer and easier to use. Smart collections are better explained. Pilot management and SectorKart profile photos have been refreshed. Pilot comparison, AiM sync and video export were also improved, along with a security update.
- New
Sessions: link several sessions to the same pilot in one go, instead of handling them one by one.
- Improvement
Sessions: reworked table — better aligned columns, clearer day in the list, display fixes.
- Improvement
Sessions: redesigned pilot cards and filters above the table (“All”, one pilot at a time, video, circuit, year) to find your sessions faster.
- Improvement
Collections: on-screen help explaining smart folders — what the rules do, the Sessions and Circuits tabs, and that your data is not duplicated.
- Improvement
Collections: the member preview shows useful information (session name, pilot, date, circuit name…) instead of hard-to-read codes.
- New
Collections: in a “Sessions” folder, clicking a preview row opens the session straight in Analysis.
- New
Pilots: filter or isolate sessions that do not have a pilot assigned yet.
- Improvement
Pilots: improved handling of the “unknown” pilot, with the option to remove it when you no longer need it.
- Fix
Pilots: deleting a local profile no longer wipes your sessions or lap times by mistake — only the profile itself is removed.
- Fix
Pilots: when editing a profile, choosing nationality is easier — a better-sized field and a country list that stays fully visible, even in a scrollable panel.
- Improvement
Comparison: best lap now better reflects sessions saved on your computer and those linked to your SectorKart account.
- Improvement
AiM telemetry: smoother sync with your equipment.
- Improvement
Custom formulas: more reliable preview and calculation of computed traces.
- Improvement
Analysis and video export: adjustments for a more consistent workflow in the app.
- New
Dashboard: can show up earlier when you launch the app.
- Improvement
Stability: internal fixes to reduce unexpected behaviour.
- Improvement
Security: update to network connection components, following recent security recommendations.
- New
Profile photos: when signed in to SectorKart, LapTics fetches and shows the photo set on your account or pilot profile on the website.
- Improvement
Profile photos: clear display order — your computer photo first, then your SectorKart photo, then your initials.
- Improvement
Profile photos: on the pilot page, SectorKart sync and change-photo buttons sit below the portrait so they no longer hide the image.
- New
Profile photos: button to refresh the pilot list and portraits after signing in or making a change on sectorkart.com.
- Improvement
Profile photos: you can still pick an image from your computer; a clear message appears if saving fails.
- Improvement
Profile photos: more reliable loading of portraits hosted by SectorKart, while keeping strict control over local files.
